Drakelow Park, Burton upon Trent

This 110 hectare historic brownfield site next to Burton Upon Trent is within an established woodland area and adjacent to the Drakelow Wildfowl Reserve. The challenge was to raise the profile of the site and communicate the benefits of development as a sustainable urban extension to Burton Upon Trent.

Scarlett Design created a visual theme based on the historic character and natural beauty of the site. This was implemented through a wide range of communications including:

• Master plan and series of supporting plans
• Printed brochures
• Public exhibitions
• Design and Access Statement
• Co-ordinated covers for the suite of planning application documents

In August 2010 South Derbyshire District Council resolved to grant planning permission for Drakelow Park.
